TLDR : Answer Summary
You can apply for a renewal of your retirement visa at the Jomtien immigration office 45 days before it expires. Some responses suggest you could do it as early as 30 days prior. It's recommended not to wait until the expiration date, as applying earlier gives you more time to prepare any required documents. Make sure you have your funds seasoned in your bank for at least 2 months before your application to avoid issues.

Sheesh, you got some good and some total shit answers on here. MOST posters correctly pointed out that you can apply for a new yearly extension of stay at the immigration office in Jomtien when you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp.

There is no up side to waiting until your current stamp is running out, you don't lose any time on your extension going early, they ADD the new year extension to your current expiration date..

Keep in mind for the funds seasoning using banked money it needs to be in the bank 2 months before you APPLY for your next extension (not from when your current one runs out) :)

not the case with a marriage visa. 12 months from the date you apply, even though you do not get your visa until a month after the application.

not to be rude

but what does your answer have to do with the price of whores at Nana?

The O/P's asking about the EARLIEST date he can apply for a new yearly extension of stay. So in their case IF his current extension expires on the 26th of Jan 2021, the earliest he could apply for his new yearly extension at the Jomtien Immigration office would be Dec 12th. (45 days early) but that's a Saturday ;) So really the soonest they could apply would be Monday Dec 14th if they wanted to and their funds were seasoned appropriately

@Michel *****
, it’s from 30 till 45 days prior,...
Michel ******
@Janin *****
i never did that in the last 16years, no more than 2 weeks.
Janin ******
@Michel *****
, you can do that in any time in between 30 and 45 days before, because date of renewal stays the same...
Michel ******
@Janin *****
yes, why do that so many days before?
Bobby ********
Michel Dore. You give yourself more time if there are any other documents required. You can do the extension on the day the visa expires, but if you've forgotten something you're visa-less
Janin ******
@Michel *****
, because your visa date doesn’t change, so you can go anytime you like

2 weeks before

@Michel *****
, as i say by Thai immigration law you can do that any time between 45 days prior. Some take 30 days, depends on immigration. Don’t mix up the 90 days report with Visa renewal...

You can't "renew" a visa in this way. I think you mean "apply for an extension of stay". Depending on your local immigration office, either 30 or 45 days before your current visa (or extension) ends.

Get a new one from the Thai visa centre 34,000 baht in all for the 3 months then after they get you a year. Google them I think they are closing their Facebook account

David Browne. Yeah. Pay 34,000 baht to a dodgy agent, or do it yourself for 1900 baht. 🤣🤣🤣

You can renew it 90 days prior. I did it a couple of months ago. No need for extension of stay in Jomtien. You do need to show 800,000 Tbt in a bank.

totally false info :( keep your day job because you suck at visa advice :(
Janin ******
@Stanley *********
renewing Visa has noting to do with 90 days, it is only (depending on your immigration bureau) 30 till 45 days prior possible.
