I am after a bit of info if anyone knows. I am trying to bring my Thai partner to Perth for a Visit on a Subclass 600 visa. We went through an agent in Buriram. But that was refused so can I lodge another one. Then I got advised to go to the VFS Global Application Centre in Bangkok and they help you fill out the forms and Lodge it there and then. Is that correct? I am a bit confused.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses experiences in applying for a Subclass 600 visa for a Thai partner to visit Australia. The original application was refused, and the poster seeks clarification on whether they can submit another application and the role of VFS Global in the process. Various comments provide insights into required documentation, the importance of demonstrating ties to Thailand to avoid being labeled a flight risk, and the application submission process through online channels and in-person at VFS Global.

I just had my partner’s visa knocked back they said she didn’t have enough commitment to return to Thailand, she has 2 children, aging mother and land owner ship . Yet they let others in πŸ˜–

Yep it is weird how they grant some then don't to others My Partner has a lot to return too so I can't understand I think it is because it is a small business and mainly cash flow. And not a lot of records for the Business which would not help. If there is some way to put a Bond down I would in a Heart Beat.

Hi Phil, We were advto for a Subclass 600 Visitor Visa. Is that the same as Sponsor Tourist 600 Visa?

And the reason the Embassy gave is that My Partner did show enough to want to come back to Thailand. But she has a Mother and 2 of her own children and 3 Grandies and runs a Little Business and owns her little house and Her Daughter is going to run her Business while she was here in Perth. And they said she did not have enough money in the Bank which I am a lot of Thais wouldn't have as well. And was sort of a flight risk. She 53 and is fully involved with her family and shared care of her Mother.

But I thought it was more about if I have the Means to look after my Partner while she was on a visit.

But that doesn't sound like the way they the Embassy look at it.

Then I was advised just to go to the VFS Global Visa Application centre in Bangkok and they help you with a friend reckons he did it that way.

So I am confused πŸ˜•

You do the application online. I've done it many times for my lady. The main things they want to see are:-

1) Details of employment, including length of service and salary - also need a letter from the employer verifying these facts

2) Bank account savings details

3) Details of any property ownership (land, house etc)

4) Details of trip itinerary (Hotel bookings and/or invitation letters from family or friends)

5) Statement of your own financial situation and if you will be financially supporting the applicant

That always does the job for me.

VFS only come into it to do the biometrics, they have no say in whether visa is accepted or rejected.

yes exactly whats needed

yes you can. Fang also from Buriram has been many times. Did you do a SPONSOR TOURIST 600 VISA? That's very important. Pm me if you need help. First one we did was through Siam Legal all others I did myself. Why was your application refused?

we went though an agent in Burirum. But then was told just to fill out the form 1419 and lodge it at tge VFS Global Visa Application centre and do it a there. A very friend said they did it all there. And it was more about weather you afford to pay everything for your Partner while in Perth? So that's why I am confused. She has a little cash Business in Burirum so she has not got any records of income. But I havexaaid to her to her receipts for all the ingredients she buys for the Business. And has strong family ties to Burirum so I can't see why they thought that she didn't have any commitments to stay in Burirum which is totally wrong.

yes but this is not helpful for your application..What was the REASON FOR DENIAL? Its in the letter the Oz government sent.

I've done 6 or 7 successful applications and if you want MY DOCUMENTATION AND ADVICE I suggest pm me.

@Phil *****
generally they refuse if they believe your partner has not got a genuine reason to return

Like a job children a home and she has no good savings record in a thai bank

But sometimes it's just difficult to get a tourist visa if you don't meet all the requirements

Thanks for your post
@Rod***
but there's many reasons why the refuse. The OP has a letter that states the exact reason why his/her application was denied. Also I have not heard of a person being denied if they have a SPONSOR.

I've done 6 or 7 successful Australian Tourist 600 Visas up to 12-month durations since 2013.

ok cool well she certainly has commitments in Burirum and has a little Business with that she would not have any records of turn over as it is a cash Business like many there. So won't go in her favour for sure. But I was under the impression they mainly wanted to know my situation and if I can afford to keep her while in Perth. But the Guy that told me is a very good friend and he said that him and his Partner went to VFS centre and they did all the Visa there?
Rodney ********
@Tony **********
if your situation is good they will be happy

Maybe mention her business to them and the family

My wife is now permanent in Australia ut at first the tourist visa was difficult

We had to submit lots of photos of us to prove our relationship was genuine and she needed to show a bank account with savings from work also needed a letter from a friend of mine who knew about her

They asked a lot ut we eventually got it all together

Ok thanks for that. I am going to Thailand in Late February so while I am in Bangkok I am going to go to the VFS Global Visa Application centre get some info 1st hand and will also take all out Paperwork with as a very good Mate said yesterday that he and his Partner went to that centre and did it all there in less than a day. He said they were mainly asking and wanted proof that he could provide for her while she was in Australia.

When he satisfied them of that all went through.

And My Partner has her elderly Mother her 2 adult children and 3 Grandies. Own her little house and run a little Business although it is hard to prove an income as it is mainly cash. So they still think that she is a flight risk. Which I can't see how they came to that conclusion. And I am not wealthy but I have enough behind me to definitely look after her while she is here. Maybe 1 thing we are lacking is a lot of photos together. But pleanty of Messinging and videos. So that might be a factor. I wonder if I look down the road of Sponser or put some sort of Bond down?
