Hi everyone.

Can anybody confirm if the number of '30-day visa exempt entries' are unlimited (within a year) via air travel for a UK citizen. I know land crossing are restricted to 2 times a year.

Also, does anyone have experience obtaining more than their permitted 2 x '60-day tourist visas' within a 12 month period? e.g. by returning to their home country and then coming back to Thailand. I heard this may be possible.

Any information would be much appreciated.

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion addresses whether UK citizens can make unlimited 30-day visa exempt entries to Thailand via air travel, with confirmations suggesting that while these entries are technically unlimited, frequent entries could lead to scrutiny regarding the purpose of stay. Additional queries relate to obtaining more than two 60-day tourist visas in a year, with insights indicating there may be no hard limit on obtaining these visas as well, depending on the traveler's circumstances.

i assume you talk about the 30 day Visa Exempt Entry, for certain countries limited to 2 x a calendar year if used on entry by land and no limit if used on entry by air.

The 30 day visa on arrival does not exist, limit is zero. There is also no limit, or as you ask a reset on 2 x 60 day tourist visa.

They are technically unlimited, but after a few you will be interrogated more about your purpose of stay. It’s recommended to get the proper long term visa.

I was hoping for a better answer but thank you anyway. I know this country is highly secured and strict about immigration subject. During my one year period i never felt myself home here. Its not because thai people. They are nice and friendly, but the system is crap. Even thai people say that, its a fact now.

Sure i know the only thing i can do is to accept these things. I just came by for an advise not for something i already realized and know.

And about a "thai girl", i am not that kind of tourist guy who everyday sleeps with another girl who coming from a poor family. We have plans, but definitely not in Thailand. By the way might be it didnt turned out for you but love is the most beautiful thing in life grandpa. So its not just visiting a "thai girl". And before you start teaching me about life i know theres ups and downs in love too. I had that shit before too.

Thank you i think i will find my answer by myself.

It is not want you want, it is not what you like. Time to follow the rules of this country, you will not unlimited entries to see a Thai girl.

And in that case you get interrogated, can I ask whats the situation? For example I will going to Vietnam soon but I would like to meet and visit my girlfriend in Thailand periodically. Is that not enough purpose for them? Btw. No baby no marriage. And i dont want to get the proper visa because i dont want to live in Thailand.

Hungarian passport holder with 1 year ED visa stay.
