Can I qualify for a DTV visa in Thailand if I own rental properties and do personal financial business without formal employment?

I am new here, so maybe something similar to my question is asked before...

I wanna get a DTV visa. From my work they wont allow to work abroad. I can get unpaid leave.

But i own 3 buildings which i rent out. Besides that i do some financial business (giving loans) on personal base, no company. Is this enough to get a DTV visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks guidance about qualifying for a DTV visa in Thailand while on unpaid leave from work, stating that they own three rental properties and provide personal loans. The comments suggest differing perspectives on the situation, mentioning that similar cases have been successful elsewhere, but also raising concerns about the legitimacy and implications of giving personal loans without a registered business.

FYI, “Giving loans on a personal basis” sounds like criminal activity unless you have a legitimate loan company. Also, it raises red flags just because it is so unusual. Better not use the loan thing.

Giving loans on a personal basis does not qualify. Only if you have a legitimate loan company might work.

People with similar situations have applied in London successfully. YMMV.
