Please forgive me if this is a stupid question, but I thought I saw somewhere it was possible... If I'm in the middle of a 60 day SETV and leave the country, is it possible to put the 60 days on hold when I leave and resume them when I come back 3 days later? Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When you exit Thailand on a 60-day Single Entry Tourist Visa (SETV), it cannot be placed on hold. Upon leaving, your visa remains valid only for the duration allowed upon entry. If you return, you would need to either use a re-entry permit to keep your stay duration or apply for a new visa, as the original visa's days will not be paused.
NO, you can buy at Immigration Office or at the International Airports a re-entry ticket that gives you the same last day of admitted to stay as you have now. The visa will no go on hold.
airport on day you leave is easiest. You will need a passport size photo. The Thai website should have the form you fill out. That form (2 copies) passport photo, and 2 copies of your passport info page and your visa will get you thru the line faster. Add an hour to your arrival @ airport time. 3 hours instead of 2.
yep, you could, BUT you might as well go get the 30 day extension THEN buy the re-entry permit so when you come back you're stamped in for the remaining time without the need to go back to the immigration office again. ;)
Thank you. So in other words, if my admitted to stay date is 35 days from my reentry, I can buy a re-entry ticket to allow me to stay the 35 days. Can I then extend the SETV for 30 more days if I haven't yet done so?
