I live in Nonthaburi and their immigration told me they dont give residency certificates anymore. They told me DLT would accept my TM30, but DLT said no. Do you think I could get a residency certificate from Bangkok immigration if I have a work permit and work in Bangkok. Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks to understand if they can obtain a residency certificate from Bangkok immigration despite living in Nonthaburi, after being informed that Nonthaburi immigration no longer issues such certificates. They have a work permit and inquire about the acceptance of their TM30 by DLT, which was rejected. Responses confirm that residency certificates are typically issued by the immigration office where TM30 is filed, and there are concerns about DLT's requirements and communication surrounding the process.
My office said the same but DLT requested the cert of residence and they rang me when they had it so I could go and get the license. The reason given was that it saved time. Seeing as you go through exactly the same process for tm30 as for cert of residence it seems daft that DLT will not accept tm30 receipt.
haven't done 90 day in office as I left the country so did not have to to do it. But when i went into immigration they didnt ask, i just said im on a 1 year extension and would like a residency certificate and they said sorry we no longer do it just take your tm 30 to dlt as we have an agreement with them
Disagree. I got my residence certificate in Udon Thani with my address in Surin. I got my drivers license in Udon and the license reflects my Surin address. Another example of its up to the province. They all have different policies for different purposes.
