Hello. I reside with my longterm gf near Sukhothai. We went successfully to get TM30 with her and mine particulars yesterday. I am currently on a tourist visa and wish to log for a ‘90 non O’ based on retirement 15 days before it’s expiry. C.M is a lot more accommodating for the required bank account. I have all to open account except the certificate see (C.M immigration) photo. which i intend to go and apply for there Chiang Mai. Sukhothai immigration did not seem familiar with these certificates, I did not press them on it. I showed them an example cert. that the bank in CM gave me a copy of.

## Is it an issue that I DO NOT live actually in CM. Can/will they provide this letter?

## Does the TM30 have to have been issued a max of 24hrs prior to application?

Thankyou, sorry if longwinded.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a tourist visa and wants to apply for a '90 non O' visa based on retirement, but is facing challenges with the TM30 registration and bank account requirements. The conversation raises questions about obtaining a resident certificate from Chiang Mai Immigration while currently registered with Sukhothai Immigration, as well as the timeline for TM30 issuance relative to their application.

Just to add: Chang Mai Immigration needs 21 days to convert your visa into a Non Immigrant visa.

NOT the 15 days you are thinking.

I don't think you can get a resident certificate from the C/M immigration office when you have a TM30 stating you live in Sukothai.

AND

sadly this isn't a visa question.

It's a how can I get the documents to open a bank account one. 😮

you need a TM30 filed at the immigration office within a day of you taking up residence (where ever that is). It has nothing to do with anything else

Good luck with it, post on a Chiang Mai group or a Sukothai group (if there is one) and ask..
