Hello,

I work in the UK in tourism and at the end of the early October I plan to return to Phuket and get a marriage visa.

I know I have to wait 3 months for my extension.

I was wondering when I apply for marriage visa if I do it with a multi entry permit can I leave Thailand and come back within that first 3 months.

The reason is my mother has been unwell and my wife and we would like to visit her in Australia ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ

Thanks in Advance ๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, who works in tourism in the UK, plans to return to Phuket to apply for a marriage visa after three months. They ask if they can travel outside Thailand during these three months with a multi-entry permit, as they wish to visit their ailing mother in Australia. A commenter confirms that they can purchase a re-entry permit to maintain their visa status.

Yes, you can purchase a re-entry permit and leave to keep your stamp alive. As long as you're back before your 90 day entry stamp runs out you'll be able to apply for the 1-year extension.
