Can I leave Thailand on a dependent visa after obtaining a re-entry permit?

Re-entry rules for dependent.

My wife, who’s French, works in bangkok. I’ll be applying for a dependent visa once she gets her final one year visa next month.

But once I get there, can I return to my country for a short while for personal work for let’s say ten days after gettin there (after taking the re entry stamp) and come back to Bangkok , or do I have to mandatorily stay in Thailand till my 3 month visa gets converted to the final one year one and only then am I allowed to re enter etc.

Any help would be deeply appreciated.
