will come in and stay for about 10 days and will buy a re-entry permit from my last stamp and come back 60 days later and apply for retirement extension on the last stamp. Visa will be run out, but the stamp will be until after my VISA.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user asks whether they can apply for a retirement extension based on a re-entry permit after their current non O IM multiple visa expires. Comments indicate that the entry stamp is the critical factor for extension; the visa itself is irrelevant as long as the entry stamp is valid and kept alive with a re-entry permit.

Yes, you are extending you stay within Thailand, not your Visa so you extend the date on your current stamp regardless of when the Visa which preceeded it expires.
Yeah I know, will make a new multiple one as soon as I get the one year extension. But thanks for remind me. Been following this group for a long time.
The visa is irrelevant once you have an entry stamp. The entry stamp is the only thing that matters, and as long as you keep that stamp alive with a re-entry permit when you leave, you can apply for an extension based off that entry stamp when you return.
