My bank account balance for the last three months has been around 16,000$ 17,000$, and 18,000$. It's more than 500,000 baht, but not significantly more. Is there a chance of getting a visa with this amount, or do they require much larger sums?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired whether their bank account balance of around 16,000 to 18,000 USD (over 500,000 baht) would be sufficient for a visa application in Thailand. The community responded with varying insights, explaining that while 500,000 baht is the minimum requirement, embassies may have different policies regarding bank statement scrutiny and the exact amount needed at the time of application. Some users noted successful applications with lower balances while emphasizing the importance of showing a consistent income to mitigate concerns.

Mr 5 Bank Accounts yes, i mean my last 3 months balance is more than 500,000 for each month but i was just thinking what if they wanna see more money . I know the minimum is 500,000 but maybe i am overthinking.
Anonymous participant they only care that it's over 500k, or if they have a local conversion, whatever that number is in local currency. The only issue would be if they did require 3 months (some do) and you were too close in the first and the exchange rate shifted. But no, it doesn't have to be over, the amount is the amount.
They like to see regular income especially for the workation but this is separate and there's no specified minimum, just if you are applying saying you work and have income they want to see that too.
I applied with even less, I had 14.5k , 15.5k and then 16.5 k. The first month I didn’t have the whole 500k baths, then the second month barely and the last month I was good. As long as as you have a solid bank stament showing you monthly income should be fine. I showed one year oh statement and highlighted the bi-weekly income I get
Depends on the embassy as well, as they each use different conversion rates. For example the consulate in Los Angeles requires 17,000$ which is more than 500,000 baht
Erikh Wrigley doesn’t even have that much, you should be ok. They choose to laugh at OP because they are a small person with nothing in their own country, no friends. A micro-weiner. What a pitiful soul.
The lowest balance doesn’t matter. They don’t even need full statements, mine passed with only showing the summary pages of official statements (opening, closing, average balances). Of course this may depend on which embassy processes their visa. But lowest balance shouldn’t matter.
it depends on each embassy. Some request for 16,000 euro or 22 million South Korean won etc. which can be very well over or below 500,000 baht. Regardless, if the amount is over what the local Embassy asks, then no problem.
