Do we think it’s likely you have a stronger chance of acceptance the more funds you can prove you have? Requirment is 500k the more you have over that does it go in the applicants favour?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around whether having more than the required 500,000 THB in funds impacts the likelihood of visa acceptance in Thailand. Opinions vary: some believe that exceeding the minimum requirements is beneficial, while others assert that sufficient funds alone does not guarantee approval. Comments highlight differing experiences, suggesting that while more funds could be advantageous, the emphasis is also on the applicant's overall financial stability and intent to support themselves in Thailand.

I personally don't think so. I got it with triple the savings and a friend had exactly 500k thb and was approved without much fuss

No one can really tell as no one here is working for embassies... What's sure is they want you to come to spend money here. So it may increase chances who knows...

Anonieme deelnemer 698 The 500K is not meant to spend, but meant as a reserve in emergency situations.

I think if you’re scraping by to get $15,000 that this is probably not the place for you and maybe you should reevaluate some things in life like seriously Thailand is affordable but there’s a reason they want you out $15,000 so you don’t end up destitute here…

Anonymous participant I did. It’s pointless question if you have over the requirement.

Anonymous participant 912 i think you misunderstood what OP said, there’s nothing indicating he was scraping by. Quite the opposite actually they way it reads…

And no, while the answer is somewhat obvious, not pointless
