TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation addresses inquiries about which embassies accept a full month of Thai bank account statements showing a balance of over 500,000 Baht for visa applications. Various commenters share experiences from different embassies such as Jakarta, Manila, and Hanoi. Additionally, there are discussions about other methods of proving financial stability, like pension income verification, which may relax the requirements for maintaining a Thai bank account.
So you don't need to choose the embassy to match your nationality, where you show proof of address, and where your bank is?

Some Embassies issues pension verifications so you do not need any deposit in Thai banks. You only must prove you have enough money to provide for yourself. 65,000 Baht a month in pension income. If you have a Thai spouse, you need only half of the amount.

I thought it was all done online, then why the need to go through an embassy?
Would really appreciate the advice as we plan to apply in a month.
Any of those embassies known to be the most accomodating?

At the moment Jakarta seems to have the lead, then Vietnam, London. Personally I feel Manilla is an excellent choice and would have gone there if not approved in Taipei. Very friendly and the most helpful embassy I dealt with pre application. Taipei very fast approval but the most demanding in paperwork.
would love to know that too. I just got thought the posts and found 4 posts of ppl that got accepted with 1 monk bank statements in Jakarta and 2 that got accepted with 1 month bank statements in Ho Chi Minh
