Hi, I need some information about Non-O visa.

I am pursing PhD from Thailand and received single entry Non-O of my 6yo daughter a couple of week before. I have two questions:

1/I'm planning to travel Laos in late December, can I get a multiple re-entry at the Nongkhai border or do I need to get it beforehand at bangkok immigration office?

2/ What would be the required documents for the extension of yearly-long Non-O (dependent) visa?

Any leads or input would be highly appreciated!

Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about obtaining a multiple re-entry permit at Nongkhai border for a Non-O visa and asks about required documents for extending a dependent visa. Comments suggest visiting the local immigration office for both the multiple re-entry permit and the extension of stay, emphasizing that while permits can sometimes be acquired at the border, it is safer to handle these matters beforehand to avoid complications.

there is an office 3 / 4 km from the Nong Khai border that sells re-entry permits BUT they have erratic hours and while the border CAN sell you one, they don't have to.

I'd say to be sure your daughter's Non-O 90 day visa isn't canceled when she stamps out buy it at the immigration office BEFORE you leave,

You do not get a visa at the border or at the Immigration Office. You already have a Non Immigrant O visa, best thing you can do is visit with your daughters and your passports your local Immigration Office and ask the hand out for a 1 year Extension of Stay. If that Extension of Stay is stamped in your passport, you directly apply for the Multiple Re-Entry Permit.
