Hi everyone,

I arrived in Thailand with a tourist visa in December and I found a job end of January. I did trip a short trip out of Thailand in order to have +30 days stayed and let the company start the work permit process.

The thing is that I’m still waiting for documents from the company to be able to apply for a non-immigrant B visa and my +30 days will expire this week on the 8 of March.

I would like to know if I can extend my journey with another +30 days... Or do I have no other choices to wait out of Thailand ?

Thank you.

Answer summary

A user inquired about extending their tourist visa in Thailand, which is set to expire soon while waiting for a non-immigrant B visa to begin employment. A commenter suggested that it's possible to extend a Visa Exempt Entry for another 30 days at a local Immigration Office if not already done. Additionally, the user could possibly do a border run for another extension if needed.

You can extend the Visa Exempt Entry once with another 30 days at local Immigration Office. If you already did that you can do a second (and last) border run this calendar year.
