My ed visa finishes on 17th.

If I take my cancel visa letter from school to immigration do I get 7 days to stay or do I still need to leave on 17th?

TLDR : Answer Summary
If your education visa is set to expire on the 17th, you must leave Thailand on that day and will not receive a 7-day grace period, even if you take your cancellation letter to immigration.

You leave on 17th.

Correction. If you take your cancellation letter to immigration, you have to leave by midnight that day. You can ask for a further extension that immigration can deny and give you 7 days to keave
