Hello everyone, I have a question about the visas and extensions. Normally with a French Passport I would have been exempted if I want to enter in Thailand.

But with the Covid situation I've heard that I needed a STV, so I did, but, I think what I've got it's a normal TV. I'm already out from my quarantine since 1st March.

Do you think I'd be able to extend multiple times like the STV or only the 60 + 30 days according to the official documents ?

Thanks and wish you a good day 🌞

Answer summary

The user inquires about the extension capabilities of their Tourist Visa compared to the Special Tourist Visa (STV). Based on comments, a normal Tourist Visa allows for 60 days plus one 30-day extension, while an STV typically grants 90 days. Additionally, there is mention of a temporary COVID-related extension available until March 30, which some believe may be extended due to ongoing border closures.

What's it say on your stamp in your passport

It should tell you if you got 60 or 90 days

Up until March 30th you can apply for a “unable to travel due to Covid” extension, which currently won’t help you because many immigration offices will make you get a regular 30 day extension before you can apply for the Covid one. That said many people believe that the March date will be extended (because no land borders are open), so you’ll just have to wait and see on or around that time to see if it is.

If you got a Tourist visa then it's 60 days plus ONE 30 day extention. If you had the STV then you would've been stamped in for 90 days.
