Can I get an emergency 60-day extension on my STV visa in Thailand after it expires?
Hi guys, I'm currently in Chiang Mai and my STV visa is on it's last extension. I am aware that this visa is unable to be changed into any other type of visa while in the country. I was hoping others in this group who are on this visa could shed some light on this, are we still able to get the emergency 60 day extension as per the emergency decree once my visa expires? Thanks
Summary so far
The user in Chiang Mai is inquiring about the possibility of receiving an emergency 60-day extension for their STV visa, which is nearing its last extension. They highlight their awareness that the STV visa cannot be converted to another visa type while in Thailand. A comment indicates that while typically no extensions are available, there have been instances of people receiving COVID-19 related extensions, but these cases required proof of inability to return to their home country.

Technically, absolutely not.
Because Thailand, I've read some people get a covid extension off the STV, but they needed to demonstrate they actually couldn't fly back to their home country.
