Iโm on Non-O married to Thai with multi entry. Entered on Nov 14 and stamped until 11 Feb. Aim to stay until March 10. I know I can go to immigration in BKK but popping up to Chiang Rai 7th Jan and wondered if I can hop over into Burma and back at Mai Sot for another 90 days? If so is it an easy thing to do?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user on a Non-O visa, married to a Thai national, sought advice on extending their stay in Thailand by crossing into Burma. Though initially considering a border run, several commenters noted that all land borders to Myanmar are closed due to ongoing conflict and restrictions. They suggested crossing into Laos instead as a potential solution for extending their stay, with insights on the time and cost of this process.

just a recommendation as it will save him time/money(unless he wants to spend more money then he needs to) doing a border run(bounce) may attract a fee when getting a Visa at the border/land crossing plus travel cost from his location return(unless he likes travelling by car)
Iโm up in CR so it would be a bit less hassle than immigration and Iโve never been to Laos ๐. Not worried about the cost as long as itโs not crazy.
FYI there is a internal war going on in Myanmar, Burma changed the name several years ago and borders are closed for tourism and border runners from Thailand.
