Can I apply for a DTV visa if I have a Thai spouse and child?

Hey group!

I'm currently in Thailand on a (90 day) Non-O visa based on marriage. I'm weighing my options as I won't be able to apply for the 1-year extension this year (frustrating).

So I am thinking of either applying for another 90day Non-O (marriage) Visa after this one or going the DTV route.

My question is, will having a Thai spouse and child, exclude me from the DTV? I would otherwise fit all the other necessary requirements (financials and work, etc).

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a 90-day Non-O visa based on marriage and is considering options for extending their stay in Thailand. They are unsure whether having a Thai spouse and child affects their ability to apply for a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa). The comments indicate that marital status does not impact the DTV application, but suggest considering a 60-day family extension or a new 90-day Non-O visa as alternatives.

You can get a 60 day visit Thai family extension at your local immigration office after your 90 day Non-O without affecting your ability to then get a 12 month extension which might give you time to get the funds in place. For both another 90 day Non-O visa and a DTV you have to leave the country

Just remember though, you need more money in the bank for the DTV, bt500,000, than you do for the type O one year extension, at just bt400,000.

DTV doesn’t care about your marital status or to whom.
