Hello, 

Hope all of you are staying safe. I’m on a non immigrant b visa, is there any way i can extend it in a local immigration office as opposed to the immigration bureau in Bangkok? I would like to avoid travelling during these times.

My non B is for teaching, i just finished the initial 90 days stay and need to extend for a year. I got the stamp at the airport in bangkok when i arrived from london beginning of October, and the visa was issued by the thai embassy in London.

I live in bangkok but am currently on Koh Lipe, and would prefer to stay here until things stabilise.

If i can’t extend it locally, can i apply for an ‘emergency’ extension (i.e. for a shorter period of time) here?

No COVID Extension is available to you.

you need to go to Bangkok to get your one year extension. It cannot be obtained anywhere else. Bangkok is your registered address.

To obtain the Non B as a teacher from the UK Embassy required you have a contract to teach. Are you still teaching ?

There is NO emergency extension available to you. ..

If you were to obtain one it will void your NonB visa as a teacher.

You can only extend a non-b visa in the immigration office in your or your business region. Ask your human resources department where you should go.
