If you're managing director and hold a minimum 8 month valid Work Permit you can apply in Penang for the 1 year Non Immigrant B visa. The requirements to get the 1 year of stay at Immigration are a little more than the Consulate in Penang but if your company has the ducks in a row, no need for headaches.

Okay thanks! Previously i just went to penang and extended to 1 year there, would it be easier to just do it with local immigration or does it bring a new type of headache? 😄

Your employer should know how to apply for this Extension of Stay, if not visit the Immigration Office in your area and ask for the hand out with requirements, this list is in English and Thai. Start to make the copies and you can apply if you have them all.
