So I’m coming into Phuket on the Sandbox plan. I have a non immigrant B visa as I am employed as a teacher in BKK. My visa will expire when I’m in Phuket. My question is: Can I renew my visa that was issued in BKK in Phuket? Or do I need to renew my visa in the same province?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the possibility of renewing a non-immigrant B visa while in Phuket, given that their visa expires during their stay there. Comments indicate that renewals must typically occur in the province where the visa was originally issued (Bangkok in this case). However, there may be options for a temporary COVID extension in Phuket, but the user will ultimately need to return to Bangkok for the proper renewal process.
You sound like you're on a re-entry permit and an "extension of stay" <- LOOK at your stamp.
Unfortunately you can ONLY get a new extension in the province where it was issued.
I can't believe that you even got a COE approved to enter the country because you have an extension expiring less than 14 days after you enter.
You might <- as in maybe, be able to go to the Phuket Immigration office and apply for a 60 day "covid extension" and then after you get out of that sandbox and come back to bangkok apply for your new extension with documents from your employer
I’m not on any extension of stay. I have lived in BKK for the last 3 years, working at the same school. It just so happens that while I will be on Phuket, my non immi B will expire. And I cannot fly back to renew it bc all of the flights are now cancelled.
there are alternatives to flights are there not? Taxi, bus, drive, etc. Probably easier than letting your extension expire and potentially having to start over
, you might be able to apply for the 60 day covid extension in Phuket then use that time to find a way to get to Bangkok so you can apply for a new yearly extension.
I think IF you actually LOOKED at the stamp in your passport you would see that it says "extension of stay permitted until" and has a date on it. <- that is NOT a visa, :/ that is exactly what the stamp says it is, an extension of stay.
, if she entered on visa-exempt, she would NOT be on extension or visa based on employment. Then she cannot do anything with her previous extension other than canceling officially.
If it’s visa, it has to be expired if she enters on visa exempt.
