Hello. I’m currently near the end of my second 30 day visa exemptions. I want to extend it by 4 days before changing my flight date home. I’m in Bangkok now. Is it possible to get the extension for this length of time and what do I need to do/ where to go to get it? Also can the reason for getting extension be for tourism reasons? Thanks!😊

TLDR : Answer Summary
An individual nearing the end of their second 30-day visa exemption in Thailand seeks advice on how to extend their stay by 4 days. Responses indicate that if the individual has not yet extended their current visa exemption, they can apply for a further 30-day extension for 1900 THB, but if they have already obtained one extension, only a final 7-day extension is available for the same fee. It is emphasized that each visa exemption allows for one extension, leading to some confusion among commenters about the number of extensions processed.

Don't pay over stay fine. Make 2nd extension for 7days.👍

Pay over stay fine 500b a day

Then you will get the overstay stamp in your passport. No good idea

- You can add two extensions for your tourism visa

- 1st extension is for another 30 days

- 2nd extension only gives you 7 additional days

- the price is the same for both extensions; 1900 bath each

If you haven't extended your current visa exemption you can get it extended 30 days, 1900THB

If you've already extended it, a final 7 day extension would be an option, 1900THB.

Note the 7 days are from the day you apply,

Correct me if i’m wrong but you first entered on a 60 day tr which you then extended by 30 days followed by 2 border bounces which gave you 30 days each. If so and you’re currently on your 2nd border bounce you can extend again for 30 days.

yea that’s correct. I’m also hearing advice that I can’t get a second extension

the people telling you that you cannot extend are misunderstanding. Either:

1). They think you extended on this stay or

2). They don’t understand the law.

I think it’s #1.

@Ruth ******
i think it’s people thinking he already took the extension because that’s a pretty basic thing to need to ask about

as I said, I think it’s #1. I do believe that’s the misunderstanding.

it won't be a second extension. It is the first one on the new entry stamp. Each time you enter on a tourist visa or visa exempt entry you can get one 30 day extension. You are getting confusing answers becasue your post and answers are confusing by claiming this will be a second extension. Which it is not.

Get the 7 day to avoid overstay in your passport

If you’re planning on coming back,Once you do you must leave
Randy ********
Go apply for another extension. You’ll get the 7 day refusal stamp. It’s still 1900฿.
Murray *******
If you’ve already had one extension you need to border bounce

I don’t think I can do that again. I’ve already done it twice

the two border bounce limit per year only applies to land entries. There is no limit to air entries, although practically the immigration officer may refuse entry if they feel you are abusing the system.

so on this stay have you already been issued with a ฿1900 extension. Of so you are only allowed 1 extension .

I got a 30 extension on a 60 day tourist visa before I did the two visa runs. Does that mean I can’t get an extension on visa exemption period?

@Sean *******
you can if not done on current stamp
