Hi Everyone new to this group so thank you and please be gentle ๐คฃ
I'm from Australia and we get 30 day visa exemption however my question is:
If I decide to stay a bit longer while there what length of days can I request to extend by 15, 30 or 60? There is so many different suggestions thought I would ask the experts in this group.
Thanks for being gentle and look forward to responses ๐
TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the options for extending a 30-day visa exemption for Australian travelers in Thailand. It is confirmed that you can extend your 30-day visa exempt stamp for an additional 30 days at a local immigration office for a fee of 1,900 baht. This extension is allowed only once. For those planning longer stays, applying for a 60-day tourist visa before arriving in Thailand may be more cost-effective. The conversation also touches on the need to consider future plans if needing more time.
