Hello everyone!

Can you clarify for me the extension of a tourist visa.

We got 30 days. Can we still apply for an extension at the end of the 30 days or not?

Thank you :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can apply for a one-time extension of your 30-day visa exempt entry in Thailand. This extension is available for an additional 30 days at a cost of 1900 baht, but you will need specific paperwork, including the TM30 form from your accommodation provider. Be mindful that this extension is only permitted once unless you change your visa type.

No can only extend once if you arrive on a visa exempt for the 1 time visa extension you need TM30 form from your hotel or landlord where you are renting if you want to stay long term contact your local embassy in your county for different visa's

To clarify you entered on a visa exempt entry I’m assuming the correct terminology is important when dealing with visas and extensions, I know it seems pedantic.

If you arrived on the visa exempt entry(30 days) you can extend the stay ONCE for an additional 30 days at a cost of 1900 baht and various bits of paperwork(check with your loca immigration office for the exact paperwork as most offices ask for different things) at the nearest immigration to your registered address.

Same question... Same answer for those who entered Thailand with a Thai tourist visa or visa exempt entry.

"Sorry but you can ONLY get one 30 day extension of stay following your entry to Thailand as Visa Exempt.

You did not have a Thai tourist visa when you arrived into Thailand.

You could do a land border bounce... getting you a new 30 day Visa Exempt Entry."
