Currently, I am holding a Non-Immigrant O visa (dependent of my child), which will expire this coming Tuesday. Unfortunately, due to certain issues, I am unable to extend my visa within Thailand. Therefore, I need to travel outside the country and re-enter Thailand with a new visa.
I would like to ask about applying for a Non-Immigrant O visa (Thai family) at the Thai Consulate in Penang, Malaysia.
Could anyone please advise on:

Appointment requirements (if any)

Sorry if I missing something but, I take it you’re going to leave Thailand to redo a visa that you already have.
Why can’t you renew your current visa, it’s a Non-O follow kid, 1 year visa right?

Daniel Gorecki Ahh, I had BB also but this year they asked me to use another bank instead. I never understood why. I have several banks so not a problem but they asked me from beginning that they only accepted BB so I had to open an account there instead.

Daniel Gorecki the proof of being inside Malaysia is needed. This can be a pdf. scan of the entry stamp or the bill of a hotel

Daniel Gorecki if you apply for the visa based on supporting a half-Thai child, you need to upload into the online application pdf documents which prove that you either have 500,000 THB (not 400,000 !!) in your bank account or earn a monthly income of a minimum of 40,000 THB. You need to upload proof of being the legal father of the child (Thai family court order AND birth certificate . . as for many embassies, your name on the birth certificate alone in not enough of a proof, mainly if you are not married to the mother)

Daniel Gorecki no you cannot. All visa applications have to be done online through the e-visa system of the Thai embassy or consulate in the country you are presently in. You need to STAY in this country until your visa application is approved or refused
