Hi,
I am approaching the end of my second extension of stay based on marriage. I am stamped until June 9th and will apply for my third extension of stay early next week.
I have been using my Irish passport for all my stays in Thailand over the last few years. However, I am approaching the end of my passport now. I have three empty visa pages. Two at the front and one at the back. None of the pages are adjacent.
Due to having dual nationality, I also possess a completely blank British passport.
My question is about whether I can somehow switch over to my British passport and at what point in the process it may be possible.
To complicate things I need to travel to France for a wedding in mid-July.
If it's impossible to do this, then I suppose I need to start thinking about renewing my Irish passport and how that may affect my trip to France.
I'm really not sure of the simplest way to move forward and I am open to all suggestions. Thank you very much in advance.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on whether they can switch from using their Irish passport to their British passport while applying for their third extension of stay based on marriage in Thailand. They also need to consider an upcoming trip to France and the implications of renewing their Irish passport. Comments indicate that changing nationality during the extension process is not possible, and a new Non-O visa would need to be issued using the British passport.
