ORIGINAL POSTER
So I am trying to book my flight to come out on or about September 15th. I plan on coming in on a 60 day visa, extending it to a 90 day visa and using an agent to help me with my retirement visa.

Is it ok to have a return flight later than the 60 days you get on your original visa or does your return flight when passing through customs the first time in Bangkok HAve to be returning within 60 days?

Does that make sense?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question revolves around the concern of booking a return flight that is scheduled for after the expiration of the initial 60-day visa upon entering Thailand. Various community responses clarify that it is permissible to have a return flight that is later than the 60-day visa, as travelers have done this multiple times without issue. Additionally, suggestions include using an 'onward ticket' service for peace of mind, and considerations regarding obtaining a non-O visa or retirement visa in one's home country before traveling to Thailand, which could simplify issues like opening a bank account.

To be on the safe side just Google onward ticket book a ticket leaving Thailand after your 60 days then bin it when you enter, it's only about 14 quid, peace of mind.

1 it's not a visa it's 60 days visa exempt

2 Yes you can extend for another 30 days visa exempt

Your biggest difficulty will be to open a bank account in Thailand which (even with paying an agent) is almost impossible unless you have a long term visa. If you want a Retirement visa it would be best to get it in your home country before you come to Thailand.

Why dont you get the initial non O in your home country ? No worries about return flight, easier to open bank account on your own

Don't need a return-flight, just need a outbound ticket.
