Hi I’m on a Extension of Stay Retirement issued from Bangkok Division 1 Immigration. My third EofS Retirement.
Because the financial rules changed the first quarter of 2019. I want to change my Extension of Stay to married next March 2020. When this Retirement EofS expires.
I have had all the legal documentation to do marriage visa since 2016 married here in BKK to a Thai National. My Next visit to Immigration Div 1 is March 2020
Retirement always seemed easier before they changed the financial requirements. Which I’m not happy with now.
So my question is.
Do I just start a completely new EofS Marriage. To follow on from my existing EofS Retirement. And what are the financial time requirements for the ฿400,000 (which would be the minimum I have to leave in the Bank any case for my retirement requirements
So is it money being in the bank. Seasoned 2months before and 3 after as with the retirement Or just 400,00O has to be held on account the whole year. I’m confused on this matter.
I understand about wife has to be with you at Immigration on the application day and home visit and photos of home and all that rigmarole which I used to think wasn’t worth going through But that’s changed now.
