TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, as a UK citizen, you can enter Thailand on a 60-day visa exemption, leave for the Philippines, and then return to Thailand for another 60 days. However, note that you can only obtain a 30-day extension on the 60-day visa exemption when you return, not a 40-day extension as you mentioned. It's also essential to ensure your passport does not show excessive visa-exempt entries in the past year.

Hello, I am not trying to sound condescending, but can anyone recommend a good visa agent/lawyer ? I've got a couple questions of a serious nature that I can not trust to an internet forum. Thank you.

You will receive a 60 day visa exempt stamp each time you enter Thailand, but be aware the extension is only 30 days not 40 like you mentioned.

thanx...over here in the North there is a mandatory 2 day stay when you cross, for example, the bridge..used to be a same day affair from my vantage point in Chiang Rai. (reason why I asked)..thanx

No, you cannot extend for 40 days. It's 30 days. The rest of the plan is sound.

Extention 30 or border bounce 60

You can apply for a 30 day extension, not a 40 day extension

Ive just come back my passport is about to run out so ive applyed for a new one so it will be with no stamps
a new passport doesn't cut any ice, mate. 🙂 All your entry data of many years back is stored in the Immigration's central computer
Henrik *****
Doesn’t matter, all immigration history can be seen by the Immigration officers on their computer, so you will not get a new start by changing passport.
Your Immigration history is also linked to you by facerecognition and fingerprints.
you know they can see your travel history when they scan your passport and take your fingerprints.

yes you definitely can, if your passport does not show any excessive visa-exempt stamp history during the recent year. With ONE downside - the extension of a 60 days visa exempt stay permit is for 30 days, not for 40
Will *********
yes - except extensions are 30 days - but exit any time and get 60 days on re-entry.
You will receive a 60 day stamp each time you enter Thailand. There is no 40 day extension available, you can only get one 30 day extension on each entry.
