Probably been asked loads already but entering Thailand on a 60 day tourism visa in May next year then phillipeans for 14 nights then back in Thailand for another 60. I understand that upon return I’ll be given a 30 day visa exemption, will I have any issues extending that 30 days at for another 30 days an immigration office in let’s say jomtien or BKK?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about extending a 30-day visa exemption upon returning to Thailand after a short trip to the Philippines. Responses suggest that extending the 30-day visa exemption is typically not an issue if the traveler has a good immigration record and a flight out of the country. Some advice includes potentially obtaining a second tourist visa during the stay in the Philippines for a smoother return.

I would advice to get a second Tourist Visa while being the 14 nights in the Philiipeans. Give you 60 days again on arrival.

Yep if you have a good record and a flight out no real problem entering via an airport....apply outside of thailand

Get your extension of stay after you are there 15 days. Some offices don't issue the extension if you haven't been in Thailland for at least 15 days (possibly 45 days if you are there on a 60 day TR visa).

Need:

- 1900 THB cash

- Passport picture (NOT photocopy--you must have a color photo) (separate from the one in your passport)

- Photocopy of your passport info page (the one with your name and picture)

- Photocopy of your entry stamp (you get this in your passport upon entry to Thailand)

- Photocopy of TM.6 departure card (They will give you this paper upon entry to Thailand)

- TM.7 "Application for Extension of Temporary Stay in The Kingdom" (They will give you this form at the immigration police office)

- Take a pen. They would not loan me one and I had to go and buy one.

Depends on when and where but it takes about a half day. Go to the immigration police office early in the morning before they open and get in line. It's a government bureauocracy like everywhere else in the world.

Paul Stephens 30 days visa-exempt OR 60 days TR visa +30 extension is no bother. You can only get an additional 30 one time per entry. After your 30 days extension you have to exit.

Yes that’s what I thought. So the first extension on a visa exempt is no issue, right?

Not usually an issue
