On day 58 I am planning to go to the Philippines for a month.
Will I be able to re-enter Thailand after my Philippines trip and get an additional 30 days here?
And do I need to do anything for this to happen or do I simply just fly back into Bangkok and get a visa on arrival?
Thanks in advance
John (UK passport)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster, currently on a 60-day tourist visa, is seeking advice about re-entering Thailand after a month in the Philippines. Comments clarify that upon exiting Thailand, the current visa is cancelled, and upon returning, the individual will receive a new 30-day visa exempt entry stamp, which is not a visa but an entry stamp for UK passport holders.
I believe that the OP has the answers needed for his question. Thanks all for your helpful replies. Comments Closed

You're currently on a 60 day tourist visa entry, so when you stamp out of the country that entry stamp is cancelled
Now when you go to re-enter the country you would come in on a NEW free 30 day entry stamp as a UK passport holder It is not a visa on arrival, it is not a visa at all ๐ฎ just a free entry stamp for 30 days called a "visa exempt entry".
You shouldn't have any problem flying back in after a month in the Philippines on a 30 day visa exempt entry stamp
Thatโs what I thought but I didnโt want to risk it without asking as my flight back home is from Bangkok and I needed to make sure I got back into Thailand to do that ๐
on the off chance they do ask you anything when you go to stamp in to the country (unlikely because you were out for a month not just bouncing out and back) just show the proof you have going back to your country originating from here and you'll be fine ๐
