Can I do a same-day border run from Thailand to Malaysia with a business visa?

Let's try again! I have a one year, multiple entry business visa which means I need to leave the country every 90 days. Is this something that I can do same day or do I need to overnight? For example, could I fly to KL in the morning, go through immigration, then go back in straight away and return to Thailand same day or do I need to stay the night?

Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, in general, you can do a same-day border run from Thailand to Malaysia on a one-year multiple-entry business visa. Most users have reported successfully flying out and back within the same day without any problems. However, there are exceptions at certain land borders, particularly with Cambodia, where an overnight stay may be required. For Kuala Lumpur (KL), it is confirmed by multiple users that same-day entry and exit is permitted.

You can fly out/ fly in same day except when you fly to siemreap or Sihanouk. At some land borders between Cambodia or Malaysia you need to stay one night (or 24hours) out of Thailand.

I don't have personal experience, but I understand that doing a border run into Cambodia entails an overnight stay.

Yes, you can also do a border run like stamp out, stamp in/out neighbor country and stamp in Thailand to activate a new 90 day period.

You can do this until the valid until or enter before date mentioned on the visa, if you enter just before or on this date you get the maximum of nearly 15 months of stay out of this 1 year Visa.

Unless you try Wang Prachang or Pedang Besar apparently...

I think I'm right in saying that (generally) in and out on same day is fine (though I think that a few land borders insist on at least 1 night spent out). I'll doubtless be corrected if I'm wrong!
