TLDR : Answer Summary
You cannot perform a visa run to Kuala Lumpur and return on the same day, given that visa processing typically takes 2 business days. However, you can do a same-day border bounce, where you temporarily leave Thailand and return without a specific duration out of the country. Many users confirm having successfully completed a same-day border bounce to Kuala Lumpur.
Yes.... Been there last week. Only 3 hrs then back to Thailand

If you meant border bounce: yes. If you really mean visa run: no. Quote from their website: "Visa processing will usually take 2 business days. Visa collection will be the next working day by walk-in."
A visa run is where you visit a Thai consulate somewhere and buy a new visa and then return. It’s not possible on the same day.
A “border bounce” is where you enter another country and either immediately return or sometime afterwards. This is possible the same day as there is no stipulation as to how long you would need to be out of Thailand for.
By land using a visa exempt entry then it’s two times in a calendar year. By air there is no set limit but expect to be questioned after your second or third try especially if back to back.
