Hi, I have a multi-entry tourist visa And after sixty days I have to get out of Thailand Do you think I can go to Kuala Lumpur and go straight to Phuket?

Or is it better to stay for a night in Malaysia?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A multi-entry tourist visa allows for leaving and re-entering Thailand without a strict requirement for a specific duration outside the country. For air travel, it's possible to fly to Kuala Lumpur and then directly back to Phuket, provided the flight timings allow. Some travelers mentioned that while land borders may have overnight stay requirements, this is not a rule for air travel. Additionally, it's possible to apply for a 30-day extension on your current 60-day entry if needed.

You don't have to get out of Thailand after 60 days as you can take a 30 day tourism extension for each of your 60 day entry stamps

@Graham *****
you can ask for extension only 1 time!

@Klaus *****
Yes, once per entry stamp you can get a tourism extension (60+30 then ~60+30 then 60+30 to get almost 9 months from two border bounces)

so? Why are you continuing to ask the same question over and over. Are you mentally incapacitated?

@Paul *******

@Marc *******

Marc Widmer really can they be tickets to anywhere and then cancel them. And what about exploring Asia by car but having thailand as a base
Gregor **********
@Paul *******
you can't take rental cars across the borders . . .

@Paul *******
Yes you can cancel them. Just need onward and return and onward ticket again

Multi entry has no requirement to stay for any length of time outside of Thailand. Some land borders may insist on an overnight but by plane if you can get the right flight times, pop over and then straight back.

@Stuart ********
can he not get a 30 day extension

@Stuart ********
not you wrong I asked already at the immigration
Stuart *********
@Klaus *****
I can assure you that whoever you asked at immigration is wrong. On a multiple entry tourist visa you can get a 30 day extension on any entry.

Perhaps they were confusing a multiple entry Non O type visa where you can get a 60 day “visit family” extension per visa, not per entry.

I asked already i don't wrong in krabi was like this give to me only 1 extension
Stuart *********
@Klaus *****
I’m sure you’ve been told that. I don’t doubt you. However whoever told you that is misinformed. Ask to speak to the supervisor of the office.

before was like this in krabi.. Now if is change I don't know
Stuart *********
@Klaus *****
Perhaps it’s one of those “each office different rules”. But it’s not the actual case. You can have every entry extended by 30 days. As I mentioned ask to speak to a supervisor. They should know the real rule.

@Stuart ********
it also says that on UK embassy website that multientry can only be extended once but who knows
Graham ******
@Norbert *********
Don't look on an Embassy website for Immigration rules, they are two different government agencies

@Paul *******
He could. He didn’t ask that. He asked if he could go to KL and come straight back.
