TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster inquired about the possibility of converting a travel visa to a Non-B visa while holding a Chinese passport. Comments indicated that it is generally not feasible to convert a travel visa to a Non-B visa within Thailand, primarily due to the requirement for specific documentation that is often easier to obtain through an embassy. One commenter noted recent success in obtaining a Non-B visa for clients, suggesting a possible alternative route, while another referenced an unhelpful reply.

Almost certainly not. Depends on what job you have and the company set up, but almost always they wonโ€™t be able to provide the documentation needed for an in country conversion. Usually far easier to give you documents that a nearby embassy will need to issue a non B with.
