Visa cancelation.

In December 2025, I've got my NON-B E-visa approved in Vientiane, Laos and I got 90days, unfortunately my employee decided not to employ me, when I asked him how do I cancel the visa, he said I dont need to because it wasn't issued by the immigration in thailand it was issued by an embassy.

My question is can I go immigration and cancel and recieve the 7days grace?

Please let me know

TLDR : Answer Summary
The visa holder inquired about the process to cancel a NON-B E-visa issued outside Thailand after their employment was terminated. Responses from the community clarified that cancellation is not necessary as the visa can remain valid until expiration. Additionally, they clarified that specific requirements, such as a work permit and a letter from the employer, do not apply in this case since the person has not started working. The general consensus was that the holder could let the visa expire and leave the country when ready, as there are no obligatory grace periods beyond the typical stay allowance.

You do not need to do anything. You can stay until the 90 day period expires.

You are confusing a 1yr extension that would need to be canceled.

Take a letter of termination of work from your employer to immigration, then they can cancel your non b and get your 7 days grace

Tim Nelhams that's wrong, she does not need any letter as she has not been working yet and doesn't have a work permit issued. She just can let the 90-days stay permit expire and leave Thailand

Your employer was correct, you don't cancel a visa. You can stay until it expires and then you must leave

you can ask, but it's not an extension. You apply for an extension, which you are not entitled to, and if they accept your application they will put an extension denied stamp in your passport giving you 7 days to leave the country. They're not obligated to accept your application
