I would appreciate a recommendation on this matter. Has anyone had experience cancelling their own work permit in Bangkok without the employer giving documents? My issue is that the employer is refusing to cancel my work permit, before the time I need to depart Thailand. I know there is a new online system. And then cancelling their Non-B visa at Divi 1? Is it possible to cancel your Non-B visa first to avoid a fine of a overstay, so I can exit Thailand and re-enter without any problems?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice on canceling their Non-B visa and work permit in Bangkok without the cooperation of their employer. They are facing difficulties in obtaining necessary documentation for the cancellation process as their employer is unresponsive. The discussion reveals that it is indeed possible to cancel the Non-B visa before the work permit, as long as there are 8-21 days left on the visa. Comments emphasize the importance of the cancellation order and provide guidelines for those in similar situations.
In Bangkok, you must cancel visa first then work permit. You can have up to 21 days (if your cuurent WP & Visa's validity is over 21 days) after cancellation, but the last day of your visa must be stated clearly on the cancellation letter from the company. Once visa is canceled, you can leave any day you want but not after last day of your visa.
Can I cancel the Non-B visa without the company letter? The company is not being cooperative in providing the documents as they are non-responsive before I must depart Thailand.
You can cancel Non-B before cancelling WP. Make sure you've at least 8-21 days left on your visa. Anyone you authorise can cancel it on your behalf after you leave. If you cancel WP before cancelling visa then you need to cancel Non-B same day you cancel WP. So better cancel visa first and get 7-21 days stay permit (as long as you've at least that amount of time left on your original Non-B visa) and then cancel the WP. You just need to take the original WP and the completed application. Cheers
SereneSunflower2850 I'm guessing you are on an extension of stay, not a visa. Visas can't be cancelled. To cancel your extension of stay you first need to cancel your work permit which will require documentation from your employer
I see, so yes i would believe it is an extension of stay on the Non-B visa. As the company is not being cooperative in providing documents, I must cancel my WP and then the extension of stay on the Non-B visa. I need to know if it is possible to do this without the company since they are not cooperative because of the new WP system. As I need to exit Thailand and I'm trying to avoid and pentality or fees, that may cause me trouble later on when a new company applies for a new non-b visa and WP.
