Hi everyone!

I have non B extension and work permit, and both expires on 16 may. After cancelling my work permit and visa can I get MORE THAN 7 days ( grace period ) ?

My new employer needs 15-20 days to process my documents for new work permit (job).

Please share your experience if someone has went through same process.

Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is seeking clarification on the grace period available after cancelling their non-B visa and work permit in Thailand, especially since their new employer needs additional time to process a new work permit. However, comments indicate that there is no grace period allowed beyond the last day of validity, and any extension or new visa applications will typically not be approved immediately.

There is no grace period, not even 1 day. You cancel your work permit and your Extension of Stay at the last day of working. Than you or leave the country or apply for a new Extension of Stay, which will be not approved and get 7 days to leave the country. This not approved stamp can not be extended again, so you must leave the country to come back with a new visa.

There is no 30 day Extension of Stay based on working or even stopped working and getting a new job inside Thailand.

thanks for the quick response. Even If I show them the contract and other related documents from the new employer they still won’t extend my visa more than 7 days? 🤔

I heard they give 30 days if we show them the documents and have a genuine reason.
