Is there a difference in the grace period after cancelling a regular Non Imm B or a BOI one? How long would that be?

TLDR : Answer Summary
There is no grace period when cancelling an employment extension on a Non Imm B visa for a non-BOI company. The cancellation takes effect on the date specified in the termination paperwork. After cancellation, individuals have the option to buy a 7-day exit stamp or apply for a 60-day COVID extension.

The extension is cancelled effective on the date your termination paperwork says you stopped working.

You BUY a 7 day 'get out of thailand' stamp after that OR right now you could get a 60 day covid extension.

Thanks Tod, would I need any documents from my embassy for the covid extension or I just apply and get it at the immigration office?

All foreigners in a country has a consulate that represents them. Contact your Department of State or Ministry of Foreign Affairs and ask them which country represents people from your country in Thailand.

if your embassy issues the letter get it, if they don't you don't need it. Go check the website of your embassy here OR email them to see if they issue it or not

That's why most people go a couple weeks BEFORE their actual termination date, cancel the extension they're on, get a new stamp until that termination date and then apply for a new extension during that time. There is no gun to your head to do everything on the last day
