I’m looking at visiting Thailand in January for a month in Issan then crossing the border into Laos for a month, returning to Thailand and heading South for the 3rd Month. I will have a London-Bangkok return ticket. Will that ticket be accepted by the airline on arrival?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The acceptance of your London-Bangkok return ticket upon arrival in Thailand depends on the airline's policies regarding proof of onward travel. It is advisable to confirm with your airline directly, as some may require an onward ticket for entry into Thailand. Many travelers recommend purchasing a low-cost onward ticket, such as a bus or train fare to Laos, to meet these requirements and prevent any issues at the airport.
You'll most likely need proof of onward travel within 30 days to board your flight. LHR are notoriously strict when it comes to enforcing correct travel documentation.
It's the Airport Authority that has the say rather than the airline
That’s up to your airlines policy. Call them and ask. Some will want an onward ticket within the number of days your entry scheme allows. Some don’t seem to care.
