Do they ask a return flight ticket if you are flying to Bangkok from Bali? Would a exit bus ticket be enough? They ask that usually at chcek in counter or where? I can buy it online on spot if it is required, they would allow that?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When traveling to Bangkok from Bali, it's important to have proof of onward travel. Airlines, particularly at the check-in counter, may ask for a return flight ticket or an onward bus ticket to ensure you plan to leave Thailand within the permitted period. While an exit bus ticket may suffice, it's generally safer to book an onward flight ticket, which can often be found online for a reasonable price.

You’ll be granted to stay in Thailand for a certain period, all they want to know, is that you intend to leave within the granted period.

If you want to stay longer, you’re on the wrong visa, probably because the right visa is harder to get because of the requirements.
