Hello guys. Please let me know if I am right. I can fly to Thailand from Spain without a visa but I need to have proof that I leave the country after 30 days ?? But I can also apply for an extension while my time getting to the end?

Ideally, I want to stay for much longer than 30 days.

So can I fly with a bus ticket that I will be leaving to Cambodia after 30 days ?? But don't use this ticket ??

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can fly to Thailand from Spain without a visa for up to 30 days, provided you have proof of onward travel. However, a bus ticket to Cambodia may not suffice since land borders are currently closed; it's advisable to have a flight ticket as proof instead. You can apply for a 30-day extension while in Thailand. It is recommended to either obtain a refundable plane ticket or check with the airline for their specific requirements regarding onward travel.

If you want to stay longer than 30 days, best to get a tourist visa from you local embassy, or do a visa run to another country.
Alexander *******
search on Google onward flights.

they will book you a flight back and cancel it after some days.

price 5-10 euro and everything is fine

Well you will have to apply for a Thai pass to come to Thailand. I can say that I only uploaded the one way flight I bought to come to Thailand and was never asked to show proof of departure. If you want to stay longer look into the rules for applying online at the Thai Embassy in your country, you might be able to get a 60 day visa (good for 90 days) well before your flight.

30 day TR on arrival...

You will need to show a return or onward flight. It will be checked when you try to board. Done it twice. As for extension, believe you can, I haven’t needed to. So no experience.

With the stv you'll have the problem that you need proof of accommodation payment for the duration of stay. I recommend 60 day tourist visa+30 days extension for 1900 bht.

I've never been asked for an onward ticket, neither at embarkation nor disembarkation!

Not even when I traveled to sandbox Phuket.

When applying for the visa and Thailandpass it is sufficient to just put in the date, time and flight number out of the country. That you can google. Just search for example, Emirates BKK to MAD + date flight number!

Hope I could help!

Btw, if you book a flight with Emirates you can change dates for up to 24 months free of charge. In the end buying a return ticket in the first place would be your cheapest option!

Bus ticket is not good enough. Borders are still closed except when you fly. But then you have to redo your Thai Pass, . . . Just buy a return tickets that allows to change the departure date. And go to immigration, pay 1900 baht and ask for 30 days extension.

I agree, she should to confirm the border of Cambodia it’s open.

You should check the price of a return ticket. I bought a Malaga Bangkok return ticket for 372 EUR with KLM some weeks ago. One way would have been about 540 EUR.

Google "onwardticket"... for 10 USD, you are out of troubles... Worth the money ! ;-)

You can buy a return ticket for after 60 days. At check-in, if someone asks for it, you can tell them that you will get a visa extension in Thailand.
Brandon ************
Bus ticket as proof should be fine.

For the most part the only place you will have trouble with needing proof of leaving the country is when you go to checkin to your flight. Just show them the bus ticket and they should let you board. They likely will not ask once you arrive in Thailand.

@Brandon ***********
"Should" is not enough... Best is to call the airline and ask the requirement to board a flight to BKK... And comply with the requirements... Otherwise, huge stress possible... ;-)

@Dana ******
Aren’t the Land Borders closed?
Dana *******
@John ******
Yes, they are.... so, no bus possible...
Brandon ************
@Dana ******
proof of onward travel is the requirement. A bus ticket is proof of onward travel.

That's like saying a plane ticket on another airline should be good enough, but you better call the airline to check.
Dana *******
@Brandon ***********
Not if the borders are officially closed... Last time I took a flight to BKK (with Lufthansa) from Frankfurt, they definitely requested an "onward flight"... Otherwise, no boarding possible... Fortunately, I had one, so, no problem. Next time, I will do the same. ;-)

Why not get a 60 day visa at the embassy in Madrid only 35 euro no hassle staff are friendly .
Odd *****************
@McGregor *********
You can only get the Visa if you are Spanish or have a Spanish NIE number in Madrid.
McGregor **********
@Odd ****************
don’t you have that?
Dana *******
You can buy a flight that is 100% refundable... and once you get there, you just cancel it... Works well.
Maxim ***********
Buy a $10 onward ticket, and have it activated 24h before flying to Thailand.

No

A bus ticket to Cambodia??? Are you aware land borders are closed???
Brandon ************
@Bobby *******
Irrelevant to proof of onward travel. A bus ticket is acceptable proof of leaving the country, whether it's possible or not.

No it doesn't make sense but it is what it is.
Lari **********
yes
Steve *******
@Lari *********
Nope, land border is closed, a bus ticket wont work. Needs to be a flight out.
John *********
Google onward flight.
Förnamn ***********
You can get 30 days without visa and 30 day extension after that.

A bus ticket would not work because of the boarder is not open between Thailand and cambodia by land. Get a cheap refundable ticket to malaysia or hong kong by plane.

To stay longer you can get a tourist visa which gives you 60+30 days or try with STV for 270 days.

Get a STV, website embassy madrid. Its 90 days.
