Hello,

Iโ€™m on a tourist visa that expires soon, and will be doing the 30day extension. Sorry if this is a dumb question .

I asked my current hotel for tm30 and they gave me their hotel code and guest registration card.

Iโ€™m confused what Iโ€™m supposed to do with that? Will I have to fill a separate form at the office ? Can anyone help me? ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜…

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on what to do with the hotel-provided TM30 registration code while applying for a 30-day extension on their tourist visa in Thailand. In the comments, several expats share their experiences regarding TM30 forms, noting that some immigration offices may not require a TM30 for extensions, and others simply need proof of registration in the system. It is suggested that the user check with their immigration office, and hiring a company to handle the paperwork is mentioned as an easier option.

everyone is alway saying TM30, however if you are at a hotel and less than 30 days it's a completely different "and acceptable" form that they give you. Mine had every foreign guest less than 30 days on it, and the simply took a pen and crossed off the others, and immigration had no issues with it

In Bangkok, if you are staying in a hotel, you should be in the system. I have never had to fill one out.

In Pattaya, the immigration officer just asked if I was in a Hotel, and took the name of my hotel. I believe they called the hotel.

I will add that all mine were extensions of visa exempt stay, not tourist visa.

Not all immigration centers request TM30 to extend your stay, and if they do just a screenshot of your name added into the system is enough.

I just did my 30 day extension and didn't proved a TM30. I'm in Bkk

I stayed in an Airbnb last year, when I went to do my 30 day extension I gave immigration my reservation confirmation. At that time I didn't even know what a TM 30 was, lol.

you cannot hire a company to do a TM30 the owner of the property where u are staying needs to do it

They have to enter you into a system and provide a screenshot. It's the law and you might have to insist.

Alternatively, in the immigration office they have some other forms you can use to file for a TM30 yourself using other documents you can get from the landlord or hotel presumably but it's easier for them just to do the TM30 for you.

I doubt you can do anything with this form. This is not proof of a TM30. The online system allows them to generate a PDF of your TM30.

Which immigration office will you be using?

Just know that they can only search for entries made within the last 7 days. So if you have been at the hotel longer than that, they would need to report your stay again in TM30 system (there is no issue doing this, they can report an unlimited number of times) and then search for it and print it.

the old system had a portal they could upload an excel file like the one you show to report multiple people at once. I don't know if the new system has such a function. But that doesn't change the fact that even if they uploaded multiple people at once they could still go in and search your name and find your entry and print the pdf.
