Hello,

I have had previous visa extensions based on the COVID situation in the UK. These were done in Chiang Rai. I originally entered Thailand on a Non-O visa last year. I am now in Surat Thani and plan to stay here, will I have any issues getting a further extension at my local immigration office here?

Thank you in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the possibility of obtaining a visa extension in Surat Thani after previously extending their Non-O visa in Chiang Rai due to COVID-19. Community members advised consulting the Surat Thani Immigration office before the COVID extension deadline and also mentioned the necessity for a TM30 form if changing addresses.

Thanks once again Tod 😊

You or your land lord will have to file a TM30 (notification of foreigner in residence) showing that you moved to an address that is inside that immigration area

That's a question you need to ask the Surat Thani Immigration office.

The ability to apply for another 60 day covid extension runs out on the 30th of March, SO I'd go ask them before that date

Post on a f/b group related to the islands down south, those people will know what's what down there

As
@T**
wrote, as of now Covid extension application will be end on 30th March. After that, there will be only normal 30days extension (once per entry) available for tourist purpose unless government made new announcement.

Isabel Götz The order expires on March 30th <- meaning IF you applied for a 60 day covid extension on that day and your stamp was also expiring you'd get stamped in until the 30th of May..
