Hi,

I am getting ready to apply an extension to my current 60-day Tourist evisa (add 30 days to the max of 90 days total).

Does anybody have recent experience of such at Koh Phangan, Koh Tao or Koh Samui?

I am in KP but willing to travel if it's more friendly in the others.

Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses applying for a 30-day extension to a current 60-day Tourist eVisa in Thailand, specifically seeking advice for the process in Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, or Koh Samui. Participants in the comments emphasize the importance of having a TM30 form filed by the landlord and mention that while some immigration offices might not request it for tourist extensions, it's beneficial to have proof. They also touch on the TM6 departure card that is filled out upon arrival in Thailand.

I have no plans for TM30 but since I’m staying at the same hotel that I’ve been for 30 days already, it doesn’t hurt to have the screenshot on hand.

What is a TM6 departure card? I remember filling a piece of paper out coming in. when I handed to immigration, they didn’t give half back to me.

Sorry no experience of any of those offices. Many offices won’t bother asking for a TM30 for a tourist or exempt entry extension. Rules say you need one, but they know it just causes more headaches than it’s worth. Some will ask for one. If you’re in a hotel ask them for a screenshot shot of the filing they did for you. If in a rental ask your landlord. Unfortunately the latter rarely do one although they’re supposed to.

Reckon it's best where your TM 30 is done-- where you're staying when you're applying. TM 30 should've been filed by your landlord.

Cheers
