Do I need 6 months validity on my passport for a 1-year extension of my NON-O visa in Thailand?

The user is inquiring about the requirement of having a 6-month valid passport to obtain a 1-year extension on their non-immigrant O visa in Thailand. Comments indicate that if the passport expires in less than 6 months, the extension will only be granted up to the passport's expiration date. Therefore, it's suggested to apply for a new passport in Thailand before the current passport's validity runs out to secure a longer extension.
