Hello everyone,

First thank you in advance for your help,

I have a specific question so I would like to know if I can ask for an e-visa while I’am already in Thailand, my visa expire the 11th of January but I would like to stay 2 more weeks for an event, I have already asked for the extension and I cannot do a visa run because it’s not possible with my passport ( I have arrived with an e-visa) maybe i can ask for the visa in Malaysia or Cambodia?

Thank you in avance for your help,

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired whether it's possible to apply for an e-visa while remaining in Thailand, as their visa expires soon and they wish to stay longer. Community responses clarified that e-visas cannot be obtained from within Thailand and that the application must occur from the applicant's home country or while physically in a Thai embassy located in a nearby country. The conversation also highlighted potential processing times for visas in locations such as Cambodia.

No need. The definitive answer is 'no' regardless of what passport you hold

Knowing his passport is Algerian means the question about getting a Visa in Cambodia or Malaysia can be answered (not just the eVisa question)

Fair point but he already answered his own question about visa run to Cambodia or Malaysia

"maybe i can ask for the visa in Malaysia or Cambodia?" sounds like a question not an answer

I assume you travel on an Algerian passport so you need a visa to enter Thailand. You can't obtain an e-visa from inside Thailand. You can travel to a nearby country to apply for a visa but there will be a minimum 4 weeks processing time.

No. You can only use evisa to apply through a Thai embassy consulate if you're physically in that country. None of the countries in SE Asia support evisa. You can go to a thai embassy in a nearby country and apply for a visa in person. You would need to check the requirements on the individual website of the location you want to apply at to see their requirements. Some also require an appointment.
