Can I apply for an additional COVID-19 visa extension after its expiry and avoid losing days?

Hi. Quick question. My current CoViD-19 extension expires on the 25th (Sunday). Previously I was told that I'd lose days and the 60 additional days would be added from the date of application.

In this case (if the loss of days still is in force), would I be eligible to apply for an additional extension on the 27th (as offices are also closed on Monday)? Would I be fined for that?

Or perhaps I should go on the 23rd (Friday), though would that mean I'd lose 3 days and only get 57 days instead of 60?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The query revolves around the timeline for applying for a COVID-19 extension in Thailand, specifically concerning the potential loss of days due to the expiration of the current extension on the 25th. Clarifications suggest that when applying for an additional COVID extension, it should simply add to the end of the current extension without losing days, as long as the extension is related to COVID-19. It's advised to apply as early as 30 to 45 days before the current expiration date and to be mindful of potential delays due to holidays.

You lose days when you switch from some other visas or extension to the Covid extension. But each subsequent Covid extension should simply add on to the end with no loss of days since it's for the same reason.

Pardon me but there is no need to try to squeeze a few days out of the COVID extension. It's added to your current COVID extension ending date.

And as the last week of July has three holidays....

And the Thai immigration offices will be likely jammed with folks trying to get their COVID extensions before July 29th.

Hope you get to the Thai immigration office and make your application before July 29th.

You can apply as early as 30 to 45 days before your current extension of stay stamp expiration date....depends on the Thai immigration office you use.

Be sure you have a TM 30 filed for your current address as they may require it.

Good luck.

My apology. You are welcome to stay as long as the Thai government allows you to.

Not asking for any, my question was just regarding the days.

Thanks for a 98 % off topic reply though. I believe you'd need to create a subcategory in this group in which you'd teach people whether they should or should not stay in Thailand.

Thanks for your comments. Either a fool or not, this is not any specific case and I am using a legitimate and an available approach provided by the government to stay in Thailand, meaning there's no 'squeeze', but rather a way to be informed regarding my rights. That said, your statement is a misinterpretation. As for any questions, that will not be required, my embassy letter states all of the reasons needed to use this extension and I am governed with this. Similarly, TM30 will not be required and it never was required for me, as my landlords always fill this and they always see them online.
